Hello, we’re Joe and Erin from Rochester, Minnesota. Thank you for visiting our website and for taking the time to learn more about us and our adoption journey. We are hoping to grow our family through an open infant adoption and hope that our website will give you an introduction into who we are.
Our Journey to Adoption:
Adoption is something that I have always felt a calling towards and shared with Joe very early in our relationship. At that time we didn’t know what adoption would look like for us – would it be through foster care, international or domestic. In my early 20s I went to the doctor for a routine appointment and was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), a hormonal disorder that causes a variety of symptoms, including infertility. I was told that it would be difficult to conceive and that I may not be able to have biological children. Over the years, we have continued to discuss adoption and our desire to adopt has grown. In March 2017 we submitted our initial paperwork with our agency, Children’s Home & Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota and were invited into their domestic infant adoption program. We have spent the last year completing the necessary training, paperwork and interviews and are happy to say that as of March 2018 we are home study approved!
Our agency shares that approximately 50% of infant adoptions happen through personal outreach, such as our website and social media. Please consider helping us by sharing and telling others about our story.
If you or someone you know are interested in creating an adoption plan or have any questions, please let us know.
